Like the campfire stories of old, creepypastas are short scary stories that are passed around from person to person.The term “creepypasta” itself comes from the internet message board 4chan, where stories would be copy and pasted from old threads or other places on the internet. These stories became known as copypasta. When the same thing started to be done with scary stories, they were called creepypasta.These tales run anywhere from just a few lines to longer stories, detailing everything from ghosts and monsters to weird medical experiments and aliens. The stories are written anonymously, and posted to various message boards.
