1988. Halloween. Danny Pearson, struggling with the tormenting horrors he witnessed as a young boy and the psychological impact of that terrible night 5 years prior, has worked tirelessly to vanquish the fears that have plagued him since. Sitting in his room in the town of Oak Hollow, staring out at the bustling groups of trick-or-treaters, the decorated homes, the cheap scares, his urge to immerse himself physically is embraced.
