Prologue
It was only supposed to be a part time gig, doing a favour for his Uncle Dom. Elliot doesn’t mind being in the middle of nowhere: he collects money from his uncle, he always got along great with his Great Aunt, and he can bulk for an upcoming contest. When a stranger shows up to buy her land, Elliot sees it as his ticket back to the city. After all, if Uncle Dom doesn’t want the land, surely the guy with more money than brains will make proper use of it and stop renting it to charity cases. Right? Right...?Why are some people attached to their farmland, anyway? It’s not like Elliot’s even related to the side of the family who’ve got powers...
