Overview: When Abraham Lincoln becomes president-elect of the United States, slave owners in the South begin rumbling about secession—and assassination. A very satisfying read. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Worth the time and money.

I was pleasantly surprised. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Will be looking for more from this author.
