Overview: Do opposites really attract? Steve Hart was a computer geek, while Clare Lomas could have been a cheerleader if her mother would have permitted her. Clare was socially adept, emotional and just a little temperamental; while Steve was practical, nerdy and a technical whiz kid. Both teens lived in Dayton OH, and attended the same High School, sharing many of the same grade 12 classes. Steve has had a crush on Clare since the beginning of school, while at the same time she was barely aware of his existence. A class trip during the month of March finds the two teens in the Florida Keys with their classmates. When the adult chaperones leave to do some gambling, Steve and Clare become the object of a class prank fueled by alcohol. Things change forever when the two adolescents survive a catastrophic global event only hours later. They might just be the last couple alive after just surviving a world pandemic; which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't drive each other crazy. Their survival may depend on actually getting along!

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. It held my attention, even if a few things were a little predictable. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.

I was pleasantly surprised. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Glad I picked this up.

A solid read. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. Enjoyable weekend read.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Would probably read it again at some point.

Such a great read. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
