Pioneres (1900-1939) mira derecuperar aquelles figures que van estar actives durant el primer terç del segle passat i que, d’alguna manera, van viure al voltant de la Declaració valencianista de 1918. Tot i això, hem volgut incloure la figura de Manuela Agnés Rausell Soriano (València, 21 de gener de 1839 – 19 de juny de 1918), la qual, d’alguna manera, fa de pont entre el projecte decimonònic renaixentista, fonamentalment cultural, i el valencianisme modern del segle XX, progressivament polititzat.Per tal de situar la praxis i els discursos d’aquestes «primeres» valencianistes, necessitem esbrinar alguns elements socials i culturals que ens puguen servir d’ancoratge, ja que el període que tractem és relativament extens cronològicament i notablement complex històricament.Maria Lacueva Lorenz (València, 1980) és professora d’estudis catalans a la universitat París 8 (França). Llicenciada en Filologia Catalana (UV), Diploma d’Estudis Avançats en Teoria i Cultura Contemporànies (UdG), es va doctorar en Didàctica de la Llengua i la Literatura (UV) amb una tesi sobre les escriptores valencianes sota el franquisme. Ha publicat llibres i articles en revistes acadèmiques nacionals i internacionals sobre els seus dos àmbits principals de recerca principals: d’una banda, l’ensenyament de les llengües i les cultures estrangeres dins l’Espai Europeu d’Educació Superior i, de l’altra, les genealogies femenines literàries. Finished it in a couple of days. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Worth the time and money.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.

Not bad, but not my favorite. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. A generous 3 stars.
