Overview: Luonnosta on 1900-luvun jälkipuoliskolla tullut merkittävä yhteiskunnallisten kamppailujen kohde. Ympäristökysymykset ovat tehneet siitä osan arkipäivää niin uutisten lukijoille kuin ympäristöongelmien kokijoille. Luonto on ollut pitkälti kieltojen ja rajoitusten, niukkuuden ja saituuden symboli, mutta myös sallimuksen, maailman järjestyksen ja jumalallisuuden perillinen, kuten Raymond Williamsin ja William Connollyn tekstit kuvaavat. I was pleasantly surprised. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Would probably read it again at some point.
