Overview: Yö on unen, levon, hiljaisuuden ja voimien keruun aikaa. Yö on romantiikan, ihanien salaisuuksien ja joskus myös juhlan, karnevaalin ja hulluttelun aikaa. Mutta yö on myös salaperäinen ja outo: unet voivat olla painajaisia, nukkuminen vaikeaa ja pimeys pelottavaa. Yötä ja pimeyttä käytetään myös metaforana, vertauskuvana ihmisen tietämättömyydelle, pahuudelle ja sodalle. Yö on yhtä paljon sieluntila kuin myös vuorokaudenaika. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Enjoyable weekend read.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.

An average read for me. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

It was just alright. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. A generous 3 stars.
