Es ist Teil vieler klinikinterner Dokumentationssysteme und dient vor allem aber zur Ausbildung in Psychopathologie. Für die 11., vollständig überarbeitete Auflage des Manuals wurden die 100 psychischen und 40 somatischen Kernsymptome sowie die jeweiligen Zusatzsymptome sprachlich und definitorisch weiter verbessert, zudem wurden Inkonsistenzen beseitigt. Bei allen Merkmalen des Psychischen Befundes werden nun getrennt von den Erläuterungen auch Beispiele angegeben, sodass die Nutzerfreundlichkeit nochmals verbessert werden konnte. Grundlegend überarbeitet wurden zudem auch die Hinweise zur Graduierung.Ziel des Manuals ist es, die Vereinbarungen, Definitionen und Kommentare zum AMDP-System übersichtlich darzustellen und so eine standardisierte Anwendung des Systems zu ermöglichen. Das Manual kann erfolgreich zur Aus- und Weiterbildung von Medizin- und Psychologiestudierenden eingesetzt werden und allen Berufsgruppen in Psychiatrie, Psychotherapie und Psychosomatik als Nachschlagewerk dienen.

I was pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Worth the time and money.
