I enjoyed the background of this story where white female dragons were sought and fought over because their children are blessed to go to the light after death and how the white and red dragon clans are at war. Ophelia was taken from her husband Lex who pretended he was human is now sheltered and guarded by orders of her father the leader of the white dragons. Though told he's the enemy and Lex only wanted a baby with her, she remembers the good times. When Lex finds her, Ophelia sneaks out to see him. Can she trust her feelings toward her husband? Was he truly in love with her?
