Zij leed aan het KZ-syndroom, met zware migraines, angsten en suïcidepogingen.De Pano-reportage over Schild & Vrienden waarin Dries Van Langenhove en zijn medestanders de Holocaust bagatelliseerden, raakte Heimans diep. Hij legde klacht neer wegens negationisme. Hij voert strijd voor de mensenrechten en tegen haatzaaierij en racisme. Samen met Dirk Verhofstadt reisde Heimans door Europa naar de kampen en andere plekken waar zijn ouders terechtkwamen. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Worth the time and money.
