U periodu Kraljevine Jugoslavije bila je jedna od osnivačica Omladinske sekcije Ženskog pokreta i urednica emancipatorskog lista Žena danas (1936–1940). U II sv. ratu je bila član redakcije lista Borba, jedna od glavnih organizatorki i vođa AFŽ-a i većnik AVNOJ-a. Nakon rata, bila je ministarka prosvete u Vladi NR Srbije. Bila je prva supruga Milovana Đilasa. S njim je 1948. dobila ćerku Vukicu. Sredinom 1950-ih godina, Mitra Mitrović se solidarisala sa pobunom Milovana Đilasa. Tiho je uklonjena sa političke scene, a potom i penzionisana čime je podelia sudbinu brojnih kritičara komunističke partije iznutra. Mitra Mitrović writes contemporary fiction and has always been fascinated by character-driven stories. They hold a degree in English Literature and previously worked as an editor before transitioning to writing their own books. Mitra Mitrović lives with their spouse and a very vocal rescue cat.
It was okay. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.

Not bad, but not my favorite. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.

I was pleasantly surprised. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.

A very satisfying read. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.
