Overview: For some children, reading comes easily. Others are not as fortunate. Even most low level reading books I find for my students still cause a lot of frustration. This is the 28th book in a series intended to introduce one phonics concept at a time in connection with select high frequency words and build upon what is learned in each book. This book introduces two syllable words with closed syllables including consonant blends.My hope is that this book will be one more piece in the puzzle that helps more and more young readers find joy in the journey of discovering reading. This book is not intended to be the end of a child’s reading journey, but rather the beginning. With a strong foundation in phonics and high frequency words, I believe children will have the support they need to continue to read far beyond this controlled reading environment. May every book be a stepping stone toward confidence, imagination, and endless possibilities.

Stacie Davenport is a writer and avid reader based in the Pacific Northwest. Before pursuing writing full-time, they spent over a decade working in education. Such a great read. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Will be looking for more from this author.

A very satisfying read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Glad I picked this up.
