Overview: È estremamente significativo, vent’anni dopo, riflettere sulle narrazioni mediatiche che hanno accompagnato il G8 di Genova, poiché il modo in cui la maggior parte degli organi di informazione ha descritto il movimento contro la globalizzazione e i fatti di quei giorni ha avuto ripercussioni durature. Le ragioni della protesta, così come il punto di vista di quella dirompente marea umana che ha dato vita a quella stagione di lotte e rivendicazioni, sono state espulse dalla narrazione dominante. La ricostruzione di quelle giornate, allo stesso tempo drammatiche e straordinarie, può quindi essere utile a rompere un ciclo di manipolazioni mediatiche che da allora non ha smesso di funzionare. Per costruire una società in cui le voci che si levano dal basso siano ascoltate e comprese senza pregiudizi. Solo allora potremo affrontare le sfide del nostro tempo e portare a termine la lotta del movimento dei movimenti.

Really enjoyed this one. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Will be looking for more from this author.

Not bad, but not my favorite. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
