The latter remind him of birds of prey, what with their ominous glances and claw-like hands.He soon becomes enamoured with Mrs. Clayton and concerned about her safety when stories about her jealous husband surface. Abuse is indicated. Is a confrontation inevitable? The birds of prey are getting closer. It's Poirot's challenge to defeat the Stymphalean Birds, to bring them to their knees.
