İzmir'de, yanında zamanın İktisat Bakanı Celâl Bayar'ın başkanlığında incelemeler yapan bir iktisat heyeti de vardır. 3 Şubat 1933 günü akşamı İzmir'de Atatürk'e Bursa'daki ezan olayı iletilmiştir.Bursa'daki olay kısaca şöyledir:Atatürk Bursa'dan ayrılır ayrılmaz 30-40 kişilik gerici, bağnaz bir grup, ezanın Türkçe okunmasına çok aşırı bir tepki gösteriyorlar, köylere kadar gidip ezanı yeniden Arapçaya çevirmek için harekete geçiyorlar. Atatürk, haberi İzmir'de duyunca çok şaşırıyor, çok öfkeleniyor. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Worth the time and money.
