Overview: „Ediţia de faţă reproduce textul integral al însemnărilor reginei Maria din perioada Primului Război Mondial, din care doar mai puţin de jumătate au fost preluate în memoriile sale, Povestea vieţii mele. În plus, chiar fragmentele preluate, de regulă fără mari modificări, au fost supuse totuşi unei «autocenzuri». În fapt, regina intervine în toate resorturile războiului. Chiar dacă nu avea nici o calitate oficială în dirijarea treburilor publice (nu era regină domnitoare, ci doar soţie de rege), a jucat un rol deloc neglijabil în orientarea generală a României în preajma şi în timpul războiului. Really enjoyed this one. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Glad I picked this up.

Finished it in a couple of days. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
