Après avoir été contrainte de lui raconter un mensonge aussi odieux, elle est brisée et abattue. Cayson commence ses études de médecine, mais il a souvent l’esprit ailleurs. Malgré la trahison de Skye, il ne peut pas cesser de l’aimer du jour au lendemain. Il aimerait pouvoir la détester. Il aimerait pouvoir l’oublier. Il souhaite n’être jamais sorti avec elle… mais il veut quand même la retrouver. Il reconnaît qu’il est faible et pathétique. L’amertume remonte lorsqu’il se remémore les actions de Skye, qui a ruiné leur relation pour quelque chose de tellement insignifiant. Sa lutte est quotidienne, et il doute qu’il s’en remette. Slade et Trinity connaissent des problèmes de couple. Le manque d’intimité joue contre eux. Slade veut coucher avec Trinity, s’endormir avec elle dans les bras. Ne pas sentir son corps chaud contre le sien a provoqué des mois d’insomnie. Mais étrangement, ce manque ne fait que les rapprocher davantage.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. A solid 4 stars from me.

It was okay. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Just right down the middle.
