Overview: La presente publicación es el resultado de las jornadas «Estudios urbanos, género y feminismo: Teorías y experiencias» celebradas en Barcelona los días 3, 4 y 5 de octubre de 2011. Fueron organizadas por Col·lectiu Punt 6 desde la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC) contando con el apoyo de la Oficina de Soporte a la Igualdad de oportunidades de la UPC. La jornada ha ido posible gracias a la subvención del Institut Catalá de les Dones, en la convocatoria para Unidades de Igualdad de las universidades catalanas en proyectos para el desarrollo o despliegue de Planes de Igualdad entre hombres y mujeres del periodo 2010-2011.Las jornadas y dicha publicación nacen con la motivación y ferviente convicción de que es necesario ampliar la mirada más allá de la disciplina arquitectónica e incorporar la perspectiva de género y feminista a los estudios y prácticas urbanas para poder reconocer las problemáticas, necesidades y deseos de mujeres y hombres de diferentes edades, orígenes y culturas. La diversidade de miradas y enfoques es el único camino para conseguir el acceso a la ciudad sin discriminaciones de ningún tipo. Dentro de los objetivos que se plantearon en las jornadas, de los cuales esta publicación es parte, se encuentran:.-Promover el intercambio, el debate, la reflexión y las buenas prácticas, y dar apoyo y visibilidade a los trabajos que investigadoras e investigadores vienen realizando desde los estudios de género y teorías feministas.-Compartir estas experiencias a nivel Catalán y Español principalmente, pero también a nível internacional.-Propiciar el trabajo transversal de las y los distintos profesionales implicados en la disciplina el urbanismo.

Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. A solid 4 stars from me.

I was pleasantly surprised. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
