Overview: Excerpt from The You-Ought-to-Buy-Ography of an Ink-Slinger One does need to know much to publish a book like this. All I know is that The Midget owed me$100, needed to make its bank book balance, and I got tired of waiting for the elusive dollars to come back to me and decided to to take it out in printing. That's what it cost me. The writing I did "just for the fun of it," when I felt kind of bubbling like. It didn't cost me anything. It won't cost you anything to read it. If you feel unwilling to make the start, I offer you a reward of $1.00. If at the close you feel that you owe me any part of the $100.00 the publishing cost me, you may send it to The Boys' Manual Training School. That's why I have called this book a "You-ought-to-buy-ography." I could make this preface much longer by using some of the words I have left out of this book to shorten it; but I want space on this page for a key to the jokes that have got in it, in spite of my vigilance. I understand them, but I'm afraid you might trip over them.

I was pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Not bad, but not my favorite. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. A generous 3 stars.

Such a great read. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. A solid 5/5 for me.
