I’ve never been convicted of the crime of consistency – a fact borne out by this collection – and if The Captain had an unpredictable and erratic nature, so did (and does) his creator. At the time I was quite adamant there was no resemblance between him and me, but looking back from the Everest of age and wisdom, the similarities are now frightening. I was pleasantly surprised. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Worth the time and money.

An average read for me. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Enjoyable weekend read.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Glad I picked this up.

A very satisfying read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Will be looking for more from this author.
