Overview: Het Basisboek Historische taalkunde is een naslagwerk voor studenten en een hulpmiddel voor andere geïnteresseerden. Het Nederlands is het resultaat van een aantal boeiende en soms complexe taalveranderingen in Europa en in ons land in het bijzonder. Hoofdfasen en ontwikkelingslijnen zijn in dit boek kernachtig in beeld gebracht met gebruikmaking van interessante data. Finished it in a couple of days. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Would probably read it again at some point.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. A solid 5/5 for me.

Pretty good overall. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
