Overview: Excerpt from An Ethnography of the Huron Indians, 1615 1649 In the first half of the 17th century, the Iroquoian-speaking Huron lived in an area at the southern end [of Georgian Bay in the present Province of Ontario, Canada. It was there that the French visited them, some recording what they saw and thus providing much of what we know of Huron culture - for in 1649 the Huron were driven from their homeland by the Iroquois and dispersed. Glad someone recommended this to me. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

A solid read. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Still a good book.

I was pleasantly surprised. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. A solid 5/5 for me.

It was okay. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
