Overview: Excerpt from The Bibliophile Library of Literature, Art, and Rare Manuscripts, Vol. 9 of 30: History, Biography, Science, Poetry, Drama, Travel, Adventure, Fiction, and Rare and Little-Known Literature From the Archives of the Great Libraries of the WorldI desire to make a few Observations regarding the Great Plague of London, which may be of use hereafter to those into whose Hands this may come, if they should ever see the like dreadful Visitation. The Infection generally came into the Houses of the Citizens, by the Means of their Servants, who they were obliged to send up and down the Streets for Necessaries, that is to say, for Food, or Physick, to Bake-houses, Brew-houses, Shops, Markets, and the like, it was impossible, but that they should one way or other meet with distempered people, who conveyed the fatal Breath into them, and they brought it Home to the Families, to which they belonged. A very satisfying read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Not bad at all.
