Overview: Rich and Judy Hill had a dream: to build a simple handcrafted log home in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. But what began as a grand adventure soon morphed into a complex entanglement of blueprint designs, contractor problems, and unforeseen financial expense. Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Glad I picked this up.
