Overview: Hrabrost istine čini diptih s Vladanjem sobom i drugima i nastavak je Foucaultovih razmišljanja o antičkoj filozofiji i istraživanja o djelovanju općenito, a posebno o djelatnosti filozofa. Hrabrost istine. Predavanja na Collège de France (veljača i ožujak 1984.), izravni su produžetak i zaključak serije izlaganja na temu parezije, oko koje su organizirana posljednja Foucaultova istraživanja, o kojoj je počeo raspravljati u tečaju Hermeneutika subjekta (1981). Polazio je od pojma diskursa kao skupa tvrdnja, praksa, kvalifikacijskih shema i predmeta analize koji, iako nespojivi i kontradiktorni, dijele sklop diskurzivnih pravila koja njima upravljaju. Suprotstavljao se mišljenju koje je polazilo od shvaćanja razvoja povijesti civilizacije kao neprekinute povijesti napretka kojim upravlja sve veća racionalnost i smatra kako su, naprotiv, na razvoj čovječanstva presudno utjecali diskontinuitet, prekid i slučajnost te ono arbitrarno i neracionalno. U filozofsku analizu uveo je pojam vlasti i doveo ga u odnos sa znanošću o čovjeku, čime je iznio izvornu teoriju sustava (države).

I have mixed feelings about this one. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.
