Overview: The Christmas Cake Chateau is a 33,000 word, light–hearted romance set in Scotland. The paperback version contains 11 floral–themed colouring pages at the end of the book. De-ann Black is the author and illustrator. Story: Lucy is a colouring book artist who goes to a beautiful little cottage on the estate of a magnificent chateau in Scotland to get away from the city to finish her latest book, but there is filming going on at the chateau and this messes up her plans for a quiet working holiday. Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Still a good book.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
