Overview: Orden avlägset land bär en mystik ton de förflyttar sinnet till något helt annorlunda. Det var något som Sven Delblanc kände igen när han läste orden i Gunnar Ekelöfs dikt, Jag skriver till dig från ett avlägset land . I denna bok analyseras mystikens centrala roll i Ekelöfs och Delblancs författarskap och den relateras till deras livsuppfattningar. Skillnaden kan tyckas stor mellan Delblanc och Ekelöf, den ene prosaförfattare med ordrika berättelser, den andre en sparsmakad lyriker, men Delblanc hade också i likhet med Ekelöf en fot i den modernistiska traditionen och bägge var de idédiktare. Det finns många beröringspunkter mellan dem i såväl dikt som tanke. Varken Ekelöf eller Delblanc ville tillhöra någon kyrka men de var båda mottagliga för andliga och religiösa teman, som de gav personliga tolkningar i sin konst. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
