Overview: Salafi sebagai aliran teologi yang puritan, terbukti mempunyai geneologi yang terhubung kepada generasi Salafi, terutama kepada sosok Ahmad bin Hanbal. Terakhir, kebangkitan Salafi ditandai dengan pergerakan Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab yang maju dengan dukungan penguasa. Apabila "istana" telah menjadi basis dari suatu ajaran teologi, maka aliran dan kelompok lain akan disingkirkan.Salafi dengan ijtihad Ibnu Taimiyah benar-benar berhasilkan merumuskan tiga tauhid yang menjadi ajaran teologi dengan argumentasi yang kuat dan mengakar. Seorang atau kelompok atau institusi tidak sah disebut sebagai Salafi tanpa menganut tiga pilar tersebut. Trilogi tauhid tersebut adalah tauhid rububiyah, uluhiyah, dan asma wa shifat.Dalam konteks kenusantaraan, secara filologis trilogi tauhid tersebut tidak pernah muncul dalam karya-karya teologis ulama terdahulu, terutama dari abad 16 sampai abad 19 Masehi. Doktrin tersebut ditransmisikan oleh tokoh-tokoh keagamaan yang pernah mengenyam pendidikan di Arab Saudi pasca tahun 1960-an. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
