Overview: The Son follows one night in the life of a hero with no name, a writer whose life is falling apart. That afternoon, his wife left him, while for many years he has been in conflict with his father, who blames him for his mother's death. Incapable of finding inner calm, he leaves into the warm, Mediterranean night, in the city of Ulcinj, itself a multilayered mixture of European dimensions, African influences, and the communist past. Really enjoyed this one. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Glad I picked this up.

I liked it for the most part. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Enjoyable weekend read.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Would probably read it again at some point.
