Lui: Benito Mussolini, ex leader socialista cacciato dal partito, agitatore politico indefesso e direttore di un piccolo giornale di opposizione, è un personaggio da romanzo. Sarebbe un personaggio da romanzo, se non fosse l'uomo che più d'ogni altro ha marchiato a sangue la realtà, il corpo dell'Italia, nella storia e nella cronaca, nella tragedia e nella farsa. E infatti la saggistica ha finora dissezionato ogni aspetto della vita di Mussolini. Nessuno però aveva mai trattato la parabola politica, umana, esistenziale di Mussolini e del fascismo come se si trattasse di un romanzo. Un romanzo in cui d'inventato non c'è assolutamente nulla. Un'opera che ci conduce a rivivere passo per passo il ventennio che ha cambiato per sempre la nostra storia.

Really enjoyed this one. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
