Overview: Lucrarea de fata este intitulata "Doctrinele biblice ale Bisericii". Editia a III-aCuvantul doctrina (in limba greaca "didaskalia" si "didache") inseamna invatatura. Cele doua cuvinte grecesti pot fi intalnite de 48 de ori in paginile Noului Testament.In Vechiul Testament, Moise a fost invatat de Domnul ceea ce trebuia sa faca (Ex. 4:15). Domnul a poruncit lui Israel sa respecte legile si randuielile stabilite de El (Dt. 6:1, 6, 7).Cuvintele "didaskalia" (Mt. 15:9; Mc. 7:7) si "didache" (Mt. 7:28) deriva de la radacina cuvantului "a invata" si inseamna procesul de invatare sau continutul a ceea ce s-a invatat si corespunde pe deplin ideii de invatatura din Vechiul Testament. In termeni teologici, doctrina inseamna invatatura Sfintelor Scripturi, esenta credintei crestine, asa cum a fost ea propovaduita de catre Biserica crestina primara.Cu alte cuvinte, prin doctrine intelegem totalitatea invataturilor si a principiilor de baza ale adevarului divin cuprins in Biblie, care este Cuvantul lui Dumnezeu infailibil. Aceasta totalitate a principiilor de baza mai este cunoscuta si sub numele de "invatatura apostolilor" (Fap. 2:42), "dreptarul invataturii" (Rom. 6:17) sau "dreptarul invataturii sanatoase" despre care apostolul Pavel "Dreptarul invataturilor sanatoase, pe care le-ai auzit de la mine, tine-l cu credinta si dragostea care este in Cristos Isus" (2 Tim. 1:13). Acest indreptar mai poarta numele de "credinta data sfintilor o data pentru totdeauna".TRANDAFIR SANDRU s-a nascut la 13 aprilie 1924 in localitatea Secas, judetul Arad. Cunoscand din copilarie credinta penticostala, a primit din frageda tinerete botezul in apa (1941) si cu Duhul Sfant (1942). Terminand studiile secundare la Arad (1944), a frecventat Facultatea de Istorie a Universitatii din Bucuresti (1951-1956), obtinand diploma in specialitatea istorie veche (1956). Pentru prima data a fost ales in lucrare la data de 25 ianuarie 1945. Fiind ordinat ca pastor (1953), a slujit in doua biserici penticostale din Bucuresti.A vizitat si studiat activitatea mai multor institute de invatamant teologic din Anglia, SUA si Canada, participand la numeroase conferinte nationale, europene si mondiale, slujind la amvoanele unor biserici din 25 de tari.In anul 1992 a primit de la o institute teologica din SUA titlul de doctor in teologie.A indeplinit mai multe insarcinari, secretar general si, ulterior, vicepresedinte al Cultului Penticostal din Romania, redactor al revistei oficiale a Cultului, devenind un neobosit scriitor de articole, carti teologice si de istorie penticostala. A fost membru al Asociatiei Presei Penticostale Internationale si membru al Asociatiei Teologice Penticostale Europene.Dupa organizarea unor cursuri biblice, a infiintat in 1976 Seminarul Teologic Penticostal, devenind directorul acestuia, iar in 1990, Institutul Teologic Penticostal din Bucuresti, al carui rector a fost pana cand s-a imbolnauit, in 1997.In data de 21 septembrie 1998, dupa o lunga si grea suferinta, inima a incetat sa-i mai bata.Este autorul urmatoarelor "Indrumatorul pastorului" (1976); "Viata si invatatura apostolului Pavel" (1977); "Pneumatologie sau Persoana Duhului Sfant" (1979); "Biserica lui Dumnezeu Apostolica Penticostala din Romania" (ed. rom. - 1982; ed. engl. - 1983); "Evangheologie - viata, activitatea si invatatura Domnului Isus Hristos" (1986); "Biserica Penticostala in istoria crestinismului" (1992); "Dogmatica Bisericii lui Dumnezeu Apostolice Penticostale" (1993); "Pagini din istoria unei Biserici" (1994).
