Overview: Niru is the youngest child of the royal family of the wintry kingdom of Lilowë, and he’s dealing with the fact that most of his family has died. First his oldest sister, then his mother, then the sister he was closest to left him to struggle with life. He has difficulty connecting with his father and is absolutely paranoid about losing his only remaining sister, Zoriana, and so even among what remains of his family, he is lonely. Really enjoyed this one. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.

A very satisfying read. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Would probably read it again at some point.
