That thesis was the counter-strategy of the Republicans on the House committee. The partisan disputes reflected sharp divisions in the American body politic. Still, the speakers labeled each other “gentleman” and “gentlelady” throughout. The transcript is complete, verbatim and carefully reconstructed from audio recordings. The transcribers played and replayed the words and phrases of each participant time and again until the correct text could be reproduced, right down to “um” and “ah.” No annotations, omissions or additions interfere with the message. Thoroughly researched allusions and mentions of names, locations, institutions, publications, and so forth, reflect the accurate spellings and background information. Evenhanded, non-biased illustrations for each of the 43 participants – from I.T. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Glad I picked this up.

It was okay. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. Just right down the middle.

Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
