Overview: Automne 1940. Spirou arrive à convaincre Fantasio de ne pas prendre le train pour partir travailler en Allemagne. Mais les temps sont durs et Spirou est menacé d'expulsion par le prêtre qui lui loue une chambrette. C'est alors qu'il a une brillante idée : avec Fantasio, il va monter un théâtre de marionnettes itinérant pour donner un peu de joie aux enfants qui n'ont rien d'autre à faire que de subir (ou jouer à) la guerre. I was pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.
