Overview: »ADAM I EVA«, dramska jednočinka prvi put objavljena u časopisu Kritika, 1922, 10-12, zatim kao posljednja »legenda« u knjizi Legende (Zagreb 1933). I u kasnijim izdanjima uvijek je posljednja ili pretposljednja (slijedi je Saloma). Praizvedba drame održana je 29. V. 1925. u HNK u Zagrebu, u režiji B. Gavelle.Kao posljednja u nizu »legendi« jednočinka Adam i Eva sažima njihove poetičke značajke, tematske i stilske, ali ih unekoliko proširuje. Služi se istim simboličkim slikama i govorom, općim patosom u izrazu, starozavjetnom temom i elementima fantastike. Ekspresionistički postav drame prelama se s elementima modernističke poetike (antropološka tematika, građanski milje, erotika kao izvor dramskoga konflikta), a osobito ga problematizira zatvorena dramska struktura Adama i Eve. »Ova jednočinka znači prema ranijim ,legendama‘ daljnji pomak prema skladnoj organizaciji dramskog sižea fabulativnom kružnicom« (S. Lasić). Središnji je konflikt također zgusnutiji nego u ostalim »legendama«: sažet je na odnos između žene i muškarca čija ljubavna veza doživljava tragičnu kulminaciju u hotelskoj sobi, bez potanjih prostornih i vremenskih određenja.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Worth the time and money.

Pretty good overall. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Still a good book.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Not bad at all.

Finished it in a couple of days. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Worth the time and money.

It was just alright. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

Such a great read. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.
