Overview: L'âme d'une langue n'est pas qu'une affaire de mots. Elle est aussi l'affaire de tous ceux qui l'emploient, la parlent, l'écrivent et construisent son univers linguistique si singulier. L'Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, qui regroupe 88 États membres ou observateurs, est au service de la vaste communauté d'acteurs ayant le français en partage. Son cinquantième anniversaire, en cette année 2020, est donc l'occasion de redire combien ce lien qui nous unit est fort. De l'Afrique à l'Europe en passant par l'Asie et l'Amérique latine, la langue française a tissé entre nous des racines bien plus profondes qu'on ne le pense. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

I liked it for the most part. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. A solid 4 stars from me.
