Overview: A sus cuarenta y siete años, la protagonista de "La buhardilla" lleva una vida apacible y monótona. Casada con un abogado aficionado a leer libros sobre batallas, madre de dos hijos y con un círculo de relaciones muy reducido, pasa gran parte del día sola. Durante un tiempo trabajó como ilustradora, pero hace años que se dedica en exclusiva a las tareas de la casa, aunque no por ello ha dejado de dibujar. La rutina que preside su vida se quiebra el día en que recibe un grueso sobre amarillo. El sobre contiene unas hojas escritas a mano que reconoce al instante: se trata de las primeras páginas de un diario que llevó durante los meses que, debido a un problema de salud, vivió alejada de su familia en una casa de campo, diecisiete años atrás. Los siguientes cinco días recibe sendos sobres amarillos con el resto de las páginas del diario. Para leer estas páginas, que le hacen revivir un episodio muy traumático que supuso un antes y un después en su vida, se retira cada día a la buhardilla, el lugar en el que suele encerrarse a dibujar y que se ha convertido en su habitación propia. Finished it in a couple of days. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.

Really enjoyed this one. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Will be looking for more from this author.
