Overview: El caos aéreo del puente de la Constitución del año 2010, sólo fue el eslabón final de un plan de crisis orquestado y fomentado por el ministerio de Fomento, para allanar el camino que hiciese posible la futura privatización de Aena. Una empresa pública que entre los años 1998 y 2012 multiplicó su deuda de forma casi exponencial, con incrementos medios anuales del 250%, hasta alcanzar en el año 2012 los 14.000 millones de euros. Desde el año 2009 el ministerio de Fomento y el presidente de Aena, iniciaron una feroz campaña mediática contra los controladores aéreos para endosarnos la responsabilidad de aquella descomunal deuda. El origen de la misma no radicaba en nuestros sueldos, como pregonaban con el altavoz de los medios de comunicación en mano, sino en un plan faraónico de infraestructuras ejecutado para sostener de forma ficticia la actividad económica del país a golpe de ladrillo y hormigón. Con la llegada de la crisis global del año 2008, la burbuja inmobiliaria explotó y también lo hizo la aeroportuaria. La banca nacional e internacional reclamaron lo suyo y es en entonces, ante lo acuciante de la situación económica de Aena, cuando se decidió privatizarla parcialmente a un tercio de su valor real. En el puzle de la privatización había una pieza que no encajaba: los controladores aéreos. Un colectivo de trabajadores unido y que dentro de la empresa ostentaban un poder estratégico, algo que resultaba ser un factor de evidente incertidumbre para los mercados. Antes de sacar a Aena al parqué bursátil era necesario destruir a su sindicato o al menos desposeerle de las cotas de poder alcanzadas y para ello, todos los poderes del Estado y el Cuarto Poder se alinearon para conseguirlo. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. A solid 4 stars from me.
