Overview: Acilde psikiyatrik değerlendirme acil tıbbi değerlendirmenin önemli bir alanı olmaya başlamıştır. Ülkemizde, diğer ülkelerde olduğu gibi psikiyatrik nedenlerle acillere başvurular giderek artmaktadır. Görüşmenin ve değerlendirmenin hız, süre ve biçimi hastanın durumuna en uygun şekilde düzenlenmelidir. Acile başvuran ya da getirilen olguların tedavi edilmesi ile hayati anlamda önemli olan acil girişim yapılmış olur.Ruh sağlığı hizmetinin temel yönlerinden biri, acil durumlara verilen önemdir. Bu olgudan hareketle, Türkiye Psikiyatri Derneği Sürekli Eğitim/Sürekli Mesleki Gelişim Dergisi Psikiyatride Güncel’in 2015 yılı 2. sayısı Psikiyatride Acil konusuna ayrıldı. Sayının büyük ilgi görüp tükenmesi konuyla ilgili kapsamlı ve güncel bir kitap hazırlanması gerekliliğini ortaya koydu. Bu gereklilikten yola çıkılarak, Türkiye Psikiyatri Derneği Yayıncılık Kurulu’nun talebiyle hazırlanan Acil Psikiyatri kitabı, tüm psikiyatri asistan ve uzmanları ile acil servis hekimlerine uygulamalarında rehber olacak niteliktedir.On beş bölümden oluşan bu kitap, tüm acil psikiyatrik durumların değerlendirilme ve yönetilme süreçlerine, ortaya çıkabilecek zorluklarda yapılabilecek müdahalelere dair pratik bilgiler sunmaktadır. Finished it in a couple of days. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Worth the time and money.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

It was just alright. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.
