Overview: Considerable attention has been given to Job in the last hundred years or so. This is largely due to two factors. On the one hand, the horror of two World Wars dealt a severe blow to the optimism with which the 20th century had begun and brought to the fore the reality of suffering and the mystery of evil which culminated with Hiroshima and the Jewish holocaust. On the other, serious attention began to be given to what had been a somewhat neglected field in the scholarly study of the Old Testament namely its Wisdom Literature. Pretty good overall. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Not bad at all.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Worth the time and money.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Will be looking for more from this author.
